Maserati is celebrating its Modenese heritage with a range of special edition models.

The company has revealed a new MC Edition treatment – short for Maserati Corse (racing) – for its Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte.

MC Edition models are based on the Trofeo flagships in each model line.

Pricing has yet to be announced but they’re available to order now, ahead of arrivals in the second quarter of 2022.

Each model is available in one of two exclusive colours – one yellow shade, one blue shade, with yellow and blue being the colours of Modena where Maserati is based.

Giallo Corse is a vibrant three-layer yellow finish which Maserati says features “blu mica interfering with the light in a highly sophisticated manner”, while Blu Vittoria is a deep, three-layer matte blue.

All MC Edition models feature piano black detailing, blue brake callipers, and unique badging.

The wheels also feature a gloss black finish. Ghibli and Quattroporte MC Edition models feature 21-inch alloy wheels, while the Levante rides on 22s.

Inside, there are seats upholstered in Nero Pienofiore black leather with denim accents, blue and yellow stitching and the MC Edition logo emblazoned on the headrests.

The cars’ cabins also include blue carbon fibre trim and a special centre console badge.

All models also include a sunroof, Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, and a Driver Assistance package.

As they’re based on Trofeo variants, all MC Edition models are powered by a Ferrari-built twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8.

This produces 433kW and 730Nm in the Ghibli and Quattroporte, while the Levante produces 441kW.

The Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte all recently received a round of updates headlined by a new infotainment system.

All three models also received minor styling tweaks inside and out, while the Ghibli and Levante ranges were recently bolstered with the introduction of a turbocharged four-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrain.
